\n<\/strong>My\u00a0visit to the coast would not be complete without checking out\u00a0Astoria, Oregon.
\nAstoria is a\u00a0charming fisherman’s port,\u00a0established over a century ago,
\nthat has been recently been experiencing\u00a0a similar gentrification
\njust like my hometown Astoria, NY.<\/p>\n

Locals Rule.
\n<\/strong>Every town should have a spot like Mary Todd’s Workers Bar & Grill.
\nA quaint hideaway with cheap drinks,\u00a0friendly bartenders and
\njust the right amount of stray sailors and stow-aways.<\/p>\n

Goodday Gov’nor.
\n<\/strong>Sitting at the bar at Buoy Beer Company…
\nI look straight ahead at this breathtaking\u00a0view of the Columbia River;
\nI look to my left and see Kate Brown the Governor of Oregon.<\/p>\n

Roadtripping.

A Walk to Remember.
\n<\/strong>There are some quintessential tourist attractions that you just shouldn’t skip.
\nHaystack Rock is one of them.<\/p>\n

Sanddollars for days.
\n<\/strong>So many years later, debris from the Japanese\u00a0tsunami still washes up along the coast.
\nAmongst all the random treasures\u00a0was this perfect picturesque shell.<\/p>\n
