\n<\/b><\/span>Every year Austin welcomes hundreds of thousands of South by Southwest festival goers with open arms. I was just one of many looking to quench their creative, musical and spiritual thirst.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t Mess with Texas<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Texans pride themselves in being tough, just like New Yorkers. I found Austin to be a melting pot, just like Queens; and SXSW\u2019s melting pot is a mecca for entrepreneurs, filmmakers, musicians, and the socially conscious.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"3streetmusic\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Keep Austin Weird
\n<\/b>Just like Queens, it was easy to feast on and find inspiration from the city around you and the eclectic people that you meet.<\/p>\n

So Close\u2026Yet So Far Out
\n<\/b>Discovering hidden gems and neighborhoods was just one of many qualities reminiscent of home<\/p>\n

\"5deltaspirit\"<\/a><\/p>\n

L<\/strong>ive Music Capital of the World
\n<\/b>Also prevalent was the creative use of space and the notion of using what you have in order to \u201cmake it work.\u201d \u00a0Although the acoustics may not have been spectacular, this bank served as a\u00a0music venue for the week.<\/p>\n

ATX Food Challenge
\n<\/b>Texans take pride in everything. \u00a0Creating food is considered art. \u00a0Food trucks were no exception. I left New York with the intention of eating BBQ for 8 days straight, but was lured away by the abundance of delicious options.<\/p>\n

Nature\u2019s Swimming Pool: Barton Springs
\n<\/b>Preserving nature is at the heart of just about any true Austinite.<\/p>\n
